    Lola says:

When I was young I got my first mermaid tail. I had the article blue mermaiden tail and I never took it off. I have grown up loving mermaids and everything about them. My dream is to be a professional mermaid to inspire others to live and achieve their dreams. Since I was younger I have anxiety and severe depression along with other things. And when im in the water I feel as if I am free. It is such a calm and relaxing feeling. Mermaids bring me a sort of happiness and just being one brings me joy. Being a mermaid makes me happier as a person. I struggled a lot having a parent figure because my family isn’t a healthy one and that may have been the cause of my depression and other issues but that first time I swam as a mermaid changed me. It made me realize anything is possible in life. I felt one with the water and I felt as if I could swim forever. I took that tail with me wherever I would go. After a few years I got a new monofin because the other had worn out and I didn’t have a mermaid tail cover because I didn’t have enough for one. But now I am 17 and I finally got the advanced monofin and the blue lagoon tail after about 2 years with the recent monofin. I have never felt so proud of myself. My mom has always told me I am too old and that this is for kids but I didn’t care what she said because I knew I was going to be a mermaid. The feeling of getting and opening the box for the tail is something that can never get old. It brings a sense of joy and it brings me back to the first time I opened my very first finfun mermaid tail. And I want to keep living my dream and inspiring others to do the same. If you are reading this it is nice to meet you and swim on! ❤🧜‍♀️

I’m a mermaid from Galveston Bay, but the water out here is so polluted! My pod needs to move somewhere else, but we don’t want to go super far. Does anyone know a clean area in the Gulf of Mexico that doesn’t already have a pod of merfolk where we can settle down?

    Mermaid India says:

Hi, my name is India, and I had wanted to be a mermaid since I first saw The Little Mermaid when I was three. My parents were, and still are today, supportive of the idea of me being a mermaid, but I didn’t want on of those fake tails, oh no, I wanted to be able to morph my legs into a magical tail. So when I was 9, I decided to go onto my family computer and start looking up spells. After about an hour of watching videos, reading fanfics, and viewing comments, I came to the conclusion that no one knew how to actually become a mermaid, or felt the way that I did about mermaids. So I decided to take matters into my own hands; I decided that I would make my own spell, straight from my own heart. I went out to my swimming pool during the middle of the day and started the spell. First, I envisioned myself as a mermaid: long, purple hair with a streak of scarlet red, rainbow coloured eyes, purple lips, purple (fades to red) top, and a purple tail with red forming a pattern down the side. Then I closed my eyes and said the magic words: Kings and beautys of the vast sea, make me what I wish to be. I envision myself as what I wish, so please let this appear! After I openned my eyes, I felt a powerful tingle in my legs “It’s working,” I thought to myself. “I’m going to be a mermaid!” As the tingle started to hurt more, I dived straight into my pool, and it happened! Slowly, yes. Painfully, sort of. Was I excited, of course I was! About 20-30 seconds later, I openned my eyes once again to see a beautiful purple tail, and purple hair that went halfway down it. I resurfaced and let out a positive scream. My parents came out to see what was wrong, and were shocked to see my tail. So I’ll leave you with this message: If people are telling you lies, or saying that something isn’t possible, prove them wrong. I know for sure that I did.

    Mermaid Abbi/Opal Gem-Splash says:

Okay, so I was enjoying my spring break, and a thought popped into my head (I was thinking about Flordia because I had recently gone to Disney World). I dashed to the computer, and searched “mermaid tails for kids” and finfun popped up. I remembered a website my friend was talking about that had “Mermaid-” something, but I forgot what it was. I went ahead and clicked finfun. I imidiatly was in a dream. I saw “Play” and clicked it. I decided to check out the Mermaidens. Then, I saw Waterlee. In my head I had remembered going to the Myrtle Beach, and saw the very same mermaid. Waterlee and I became fast friends. Then, I remembered, Waterlee had a shellphone. I also remembered I asked for her number. I decided to call her. “Hi Abbi! Why do you call?” Waterlee asked. “YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU WERE A MERMAIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I pretty much screamed out of excitment. Waterlee laughed. “Sorry I never told you, I was having too much fun.” I was almost about to burst. “Even though you are a mermaiden, I’m gonna treat you like a friend.” I said kindly. “Thank you, Abbi. I’m sooo used to people like, hello miss Waterlee.” Waterlee said sadly. “Well, Im just gonna say : Hello friend!” “Thank you Abbi.” So, I have Waterlee ever since. Ever since that, I wanted to be a mermaiden, so I bought the Asian Purple tail. Right now, I am waiting for my tail to arrive. Thanks finfun!!!

Aqua – The Secret Atlantic Mermaid says:

    PART 2: Good Save

Sweating and shaking, my body collapses against the sand. My muscles are shuddering uncontrollably and my head is still spinning.

I feel detached from the seabed, everything has become dream-like and surreal. The oil is taking effect, sapping the last of my energy. The last of my strength. The last of my consciousness.

    My eyes slide shut.

    ****

I am awoken by a familiar call. My dolphin.

My body is tingling all over and my muscles have turned to lead. ‘Uhhnnn…’ I moan, lifting my eyes open. Even the faint glimmer of light above stings.

‘Are you okay?’ I hear a sweet female voice.

‘I guess, I just…’ I pause as a chill sweeps over me, ‘…I feel so weak.’

    ‘Just breathe. The oil mustve

Aqua – The Secret Atlantic Mermaid says:

    Story 1: Good Save

My chest booms, my brain is rushing with incoherent thoughts, each one going at a million tails per second. I can see the toxic blackness seeping from the wretched, rusted metal.

The poor thing won’t last a moment if it stays in that oil! I have to do somethi-

Before I even finish that thought, my teal tail is pumping me into the house-sized pipe.
    What am I doing?
Suddenly, my instinctive action is rewarded – I hear a call.

I push farther into the blackness, still not breathing.

I can see the faintest outline of a dolphin, it is laying weakly on the rusted metal. I shake him and his eye cracks open, he gives a weak reply.

I know I’m gonna need to breathe now, so I better hurry and get him out before the oil starts affecting me too.

‘Come on…’ I roll the little dolphin onto his front and prompt him to follow me out. I know there’s a problem when he doesn’t. ‘Awww, what’s wrong?’ I look at its little fin. He’s injured.

I’ll have to treat that- Whoooa.

The seabed begins spinning and my hands begin trembling.

No not now. PLEASE not now.

Quickly, I grip onto the dolphin’s good fin and attempt to drag him out. With a bit of tail pumping from him, we begin to ascend from the floor of the oil spill.

    Farther… Farther…. Farther….

Then, shaking and sweating, I hit the seabed.

    Mermaid Eden – Finisfriends says:

*Sorry guys. Haven’t posted since last year, but I’ve been getting loads of work from across the Atlantic (and land) and haven’t had much time to write. Don’t worry I’m back!*

Great! Just great Ediana! What in the deep blue sea have you done?! I paced (well, swam) around my room. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes – completely exhausted, my tail – flapping idly, my body – shuddering. I have to grip onto the table to stay upright.
    I shouldn’t have. I really shouldn’t have.

Brynn had told me time and time again, “duty before playtime”. Like most energetic mermaids, I didn’t listen.

Last night I had been exploring the coral beds until dawn. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
But now, I was so exhausted… so drained… so weak. It’s not a normal exhaustion, it feels so wierd. What’s worse, I’m not feeling too well anyway, I can’t help but feel I might’ve gotten scratched by a type of coral. Hopefully, with all the paperwork and inspections, I could dodge Brynn’s questions and just act as natural as possible.

Of course, hiding things from Brynn was difficult, especially once she’d gone to your coronation.

‘Heya.’ Brynn darted over to me.

‘Hey!’ I replied, attempting to sound cheerful.

Her forehead wrinkles ever so slightly,
‘Yer’s alright, girl?’ She asked, ‘You don’t seem with it. Yer feel in’ poorly?’

I blink for a few seconds to clear my clouded head and reply,
‘Na, just a little tired that’s all. Don’t worry ’bout it! Come on!’ I challenge, zipping across the pillars of the palace. It didn’t matter how tired I was. Land or sea, I was always up for a challenge!

The first few meetings pass with ease. I just managed to slip into the background of all the formal chatter about “Ocean Statistics”.

However, when we are left for a break, I can’t help but slump onto a chair. I feel so drained it’s unbelievable. What will Brynn say if she finds that I’ve been up all night playing when I should’ve been sleeping?

All of a sudden, the tiredness finally swamps me and I’m knocked out into a much needed rest.

‘Eden?’ Brynn’s concerned whisper awakes me.

I shuffle from my comfortable position and let my eyes flutter open. I awaken to realise that every inch of my body is tingling furiously, I can feel the faints sweat has broken across my forehead. Great! I must’ve definitely got scratched by the coral last night. That would explain why I feel so woozy now.

    ‘B-Brynn, I…’

‘Shhh…’ She hushes me, ‘It’s alright. Just lay back.’

I nod slowly, resting my head back into the cloud-like fabric. ‘I’m sorry.’ I apologise weakly, ‘Last night I…’

‘I know.’ She finishes, ‘I sometimes sneak out for late night adventures too. Just make sure I’m with you next time you go into the fields at night, ‘kay?’

    ‘Okay.’ I reply.

‘Don’t worry. By tomorrow mornin’ you’ll feel s’good as new.’

I nod. Flashing her a smile.

‘Look, Eden. Always give yourself a chance to have fun, but remember. Health first, alright?’

    ‘Right.’

    MORE TO COME!

    Fish without Water! says:

I am so excited! I just got the limited edition Bali Breeze for Christmas. I was wanting this tail since it came out and I am so excited to use it! So my story is that I was very young and I didn’t swim like normal. I don’t kick my legs, I move them up and down. I’ve always believed that I could be a mermaid! Before these tails came out, my mom and her co-worker had made me a swimmable mermaid tail and I loved it! So I got my first mermaid tail when I was eight and ever since then I’ve never swam without it! I’ve trained myself like Mermaid Tria to hold my breath for a long time in the pool or the lake. They are so life-like! Me and my friends have one and we love to swim in them. I give all my wishes to FinFun! Thank you so much for making my mermaid dreams to come true!
